Super gezellige en warme sfeer bij Soul Kitchen! De mensen daar waren zo lief en de sfeer was onmiddellijk heel huiselijk. Het eten was echt fenomenaal, om je vingers van af te likken. Bedankt voor de fantastische ervaring!

Truly a top-notch restaurant! Delicious dishes that you won't find anywhere else. Organic and local products.
Nice atmosphere, beautifully and colorfully decorated. The tables aren't too close together, which gives a spacious feel.
And as the icing on the cake, super friendly service. Nice and cheerful and spontaneous.

If you are looking for gourmet vegetarian/vegan cuisine, this is your go to place! Everything was delicious and you could just taste how healthy it was. I usually don’t like mushrooms, but they had the most DELICIOUS mushroom soup and risotto! I just want to go back there immediately! We sat in the room overlooking the kitchen and you could see how everything was prepared with uttermost care. The service was very friendly but a little bit slow. Also kinda high prices but DEFINITELY worth it! This place will make you look at vegetarian and vegan cuisine with a whole new perspective!

Absolute recommender in terms of food, service and atmosphere!
The food is delicious, organic and most are glutenfree. This type is restaurants are much needed qhere the food is so good you dont even notice it is plant based.

Price is reasonable considering the quality you get for it.

The owners are also very friendly and all positive vibes which is contagious in a good way. Wish them all the best and we want to go back soon!

This evening I went with my friends to Soul Kitchen and it was a pleasure. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and you feel like you're in the host's living room. The quality of the food is fantastic. Colourful, surprising and so tasty! The sharing concept makes the dishes drop in slowly dish by dish. We spent the whole evening eating, chatting and enjoying every taste fully. We loved it and will definitely come back!

Life is Colours, Vegetables are Life ! New venue just opposite our Bijlokehof. The turquoise and warm yellows of the Mediterranean are creating a sweet atmosphere, the music is splendid, the quality of these vegan variations is flawless, organic wines, fancy teas and cocktails... Soul Kitchen is everything you would want from modern vegetarian cooking.

The building is stunning and beautifully decorated, the staff are attentive, interested and funny.

The food is excellent: interesting, seasonal fun and a beautiful balance of subtle flavours from the bouillon they bring as a starter to the home made oat biscuits they serve with the coffee.

A simple and complimentary list of organic wines and beers is well priced and has something for everyone.

I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you.

We dropped by for a late lunch and were delighted with the food, service and drinks - really delicious plates, with a blend of tastes. My wife enjoyed a white Bulgarian wine and I had a West Flanders beer. Welcoming and professional servers.

Soul Kitchen is echt een pareltje: vegan food met gewaagde maar absoluut geslaagde combinaties van verse en lokale bio-ingrediënten. Geen toeters en bellen, gewoon explosies van smaken en aroma's samengesteld en bereid met passie en dat straalt af. Fijne en intieme sfeer door een team met een heel positieve filosofie en energie. Dit kleine restaurant heeft een intieme, huiselijke sfeer die bijdraagt aan een warme ervaring. De eigenaars en het personeel zijn spontaan, vriendelijk en positief ingesteld, wat meteen voelbaar is. Het eten is aan de ene kant eenvoudig, maar door de biologische ingrediënten proef je de rijke, seizoensgebonden smaken van pure groenten. Hier overheersen geen zout, peper, sauzen of smaakversterkers; de natuurlijke smaak staat centraal. De prijzen liggen misschien iets hoger, maar voor biologische producten is het zeker de moeite waard.

Great place, the welcome is great and the food is delicious. The concept of sharing dishes is very well thought out and the different dishes sit side by side very well on the plate. We peck here and there and it’s really very good.

Yes, the prices may seem a little high but it's all the work of vegan cooking that goes into it: sourcing, choice of cooking, etc.

A very good experience!

A hidden vegan gem just outside of Ghent's city center! The flavours they were able to get out of "ordinary" veggies was absurd. Each dish was a new experience and amazed us from first to last bite. A huge recommendation if you like healthy, yet flavourful food! Where are those Michelin guys when you need them?! Service was top notch 👍

Moest ik 10 sterren kunnen geven, direct! Klein en gezellig plekje, lekker eten, toffe uitbaters en goeie wijnen. Wij komen hier graag terug, altijd iets anders en altijd beter dan de vorige keren. Tovenaars in de keuken is zacht uitgedrukt, ze slagen er in telkens een smakelijk gerecht op tafel te zetten!

Hele lekkere smaken en toch wel wat verfijnder, porties zijn zeker voldoende (hebben samen 4 gerechtjes besteld en een dessert), zijn niet met honger naar huis gegaan ☺️ De inkleding is heel fijn, alleen is de akoestiek niet zo top waardoor je elkaar soms moeilijk kan verstaan. We hebben een heel gezellige avond gehad, zelfs voor niet-vegetariërs is het de moeite om eens te proberen! ✨

Ik zou voor het eten een 5/5 geven indien er in volume wat meer groenten zouden zijn, in verhouding tot de prijs mag dit wel.

During a weekend in Ghent, my wife and I discovered the restaurant "Soul Kitchen".
The atmosphere is cozy and warm and the joie de vivre of the waitress with whom we were able to chat in French and Dutch (we are French speaking but we speak a little Dutch) is an undeniable plus.
We had two cold starters and two hot dishes which we shared and everything was tasty, refined and with a superb presentation. What an incredible imagination!!!
In short, a vegan restaurant to absolutely discover if you are in Ghent.

Ik had deze week het genoegen Soul Kitchen in Gent opnieuw te bezoeken samen met een vriendin en ik was absoluut weer onder de indruk! De Dancing mushrooms en de gegrilde pastinaak waren simpelweg verrukkelijk. De smaken waren perfect in balans en de presentatie was prachtig. Het is duidelijk dat het keukenteam veel aandacht besteedt aan de kwaliteit van de gerechten. De sfeer in het restaurant was warm en uitnodigend, wat mijn dinerervaring nog aangenamer maakte. Ik kan Soul Kitchen ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een geweldige culinaire ervaring in Gent. Ik kijk er al naar uit om terug te gaan en meer van hun heerlijke gerechten te proeven!

Great service, super tasty food. You can taste that everything has been carefully selected to create a beautiful, tasteful (and original) whole. There is a positive atmosphere in the restaurant, both between the staff and the 'wizards' in the kitchen. We will be back! 💚

The staff was very friendly and the food so much good (especially Pastinaak van de grill) that I wished I had more in my plate and indeed the quantity was unfortunately relatively small. When I ordered Brussels Sprouts I forgot what sprout meant and that normally I don't like that but this time I was surprised to find it really tasty. I recommend to take at least 3 dishes per person to be filled but as the price for one dishes is in the range of 11 to 15 euros the bill can rapidly be expensive. Although it's certainly worth the price (everything is organic and seasonal) it's better to be prepared to that and maybe to go there only for special events.

Visiting Ghent for a few days and BOOM: best dining experience in a while! I thought brussels sprouts are boring, GOD DAYUM was i wrong. Every dish is amazingly combined with all flavours you can imagine and beautifully presented on the plates. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is super friendly and for all that we paid 106€ total (1 starter, 4 main dishes, 1 dessert, water, 3 beers). We left well fed and happy 🙂

Had the most amazing experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, flavourful, fresh and just so beautifully presented.
